Lawns for You

A guide to lawn care, lawn mowing and creating the perfect green lawn.

£995 for a whole year. Nothing else to pay.

New on our lawnsforyou shop, all a bowling club will require to produce a great playing surface throughout the season. Using all my 46 years experience in greenkeeping, I have devised a program, and sourced products, which gives bowling clubs a one stop shop for all their needs.

For a one off fixed payment, a club will receive all the products required to cover a years maintenance. This covers an early Spring granular fertiliser and moss killer treatment, monthly treatments with liquid fertilisers, and soil conditioners, these are seaweed based. I will also supply a good quality wetting agent, essential to ensure good drainage, and penetration of nutients.

There will be an Autumn granular fertiliser, along with iron sulphate and ammonia for use to control moss, and keep the grass healthy, and disease free, over the Winter.

Seaweed meal, and high quality grass seed , will be part of the package, to be used in the Autumn renovation.

I can`t supply top dressing direct, but have the contacts required to allow each club to source good quality dressing in any part of the UK or Ireland. The same would apply to Fungicides and Weedkillers, neither of which should be required if my program is followed.

Lastly, and most importantly, as part of the package, I will supply a full maintenance program for the year, with instructions for application rates, timings, and all other operations essential to producing a good quality green. Mowing heights, verti cutting during the season, aeration operations, rolling, and instructions for the autumn renovation.

This is a real bargain, and a boon, to allow all these clubs, mostly run by volunteers, to maintain the green efficiently and professionally. While also taking out the worry of navigating the minefield of products and information that is out there.
