Soluble Sulphate of iron is by far the most cost effective moss treatment available on the market. 2.5 kilo dissolved in 20 ltr water will treat 500 sq metres, very effectively killing the moss, which can then be raked out after around two weeks. The iron is also very good for hardening the grass aginst stress from disease, suppressing worm activity, and produces a darker green colour. It can be applied dry as well, mixed with sand at a rate of four sand to one iron, and applied at 50 gram per sq metre. It can also be used around acid loving plants to reduce the PH, applied dry at 50 gram per sq metre, and watered in.
